I'M A WINNER!

Last night at church, my pastor preached "Fighting the Fight, Finishing the Course & Keeping the Faith"... it was an awesome message as it reminded me that my focus should be on Heaven and not on earthly gain. Because if our hope is in this world only, we are most miserable (to paraphrase the Scriptures loosely).

So now on to a little blessing that God gave me here on earth, as I wait for His coming... ha ha ha!

I posted comments on a blog on Deeanne Gist's website (www.deeannegist.com) on a couple of her posts. In case you don't know who she is... SHAME ON YOU! No, seriously, she is a Christian author who is absolutely amazing. Her fourth book, Deep in the Heart of Trouble is being released in May and if it's anything like her first three, I know we are all in for a treat!

Anyways, my sister (who is a moderator on Dee's chat room) received an ARC (advanced reader's copy) of the new book in the mail. Oh my, how jealous I was! She is such a lucky duck! This is her second ARC (she won "Courting Trouble" also by Deeanne Gist last year).

Well, she mentioned to me that if I leave a comment on Dee's blog, I could win an ARC for myself. (I've got a classic case of the Lurks... always lurking around blogs and hardly ever leaving a comment.)

So of course, I had to come out of hiding to get a chance to win my own ARC. So I posted my comments with my fingers crossed and waited out the weekend. The deadline was Friday so I knew there would be some news regarding the winner on Monday.

Well today rolled along and being Monday, I was my absentminded usual self as I am every Monday, not remembering anything that I needed to. All of a sudden a get a instant message from Deb, shouting (ALL CAPS!) at me to check Dee's blog.

Lo and Behold.... I won.

I won.

Uh, I won?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?

My heart burst into song, the clouds in my brain cleared and I did a mental jig (I have bad knees, a physical jig would have put me out of commission for a while!). I WON!

So even though this win is so small compared to streets of gold, the Lord smiled on me and gave me a glimpse of Heaven. Being a winner sures feels great!

Thanks Dee! Thank you Lord! and thank you computer who picked my name!!!!

LOL on the Giselle comment on Dee's blog!

Didn't you totally LOVE that movie, though? I find myself singing that little aria in my kitchen nearly every day, lol.

Becky,
Oh my word... I don't think my blog is big enough for me to gush about that movie! ha ha ha.

I watched it again for the 4 1/2 time (I saw half of it at my nail place while getting a pedicure...hahahah)

I even got my baby brother (David) to watch it with his girlfriend and this past weekend I heard him in the bathroom singing..."I've been dreaming of a true love's kiss..la la la la"!!!!! hahahahahahahahah!!!!! I laughed so hard!

So to answer your question... Yes I sure did like that movie. hee hee hee....

btw -- I saw your post about the movie and I thought, well, she's just about said it all! ha ha ha.... of course I was still suffering from the Lurks and didn't leave a comment... ha ha ha!

Can you believe I still haven't seen the movie? Oh, I know exactly what movie you're talking about, but I haven't seen it yet.

I probably just need to own it, don't I?

If you love Disney classics, you will love Enchanted. It's very well done and actually I bought it before I saw it (which is rare for me)and I am soooo glad I did!

Deb,
You know how bad my knees are! hahahaha oh if only everyone saw how much I actually dance in my head!

And so far the Lurks haven't sent me running to the bathroom...LOL!!!!!
